Christmas cookies and coconut macaroon

Yeah, It’s only a few days till Christmas! ☻ Are u looking forward to it or do you don’t
like Christmas? A few days ago I was at the market and I saw a little child asking his
mother why Santa Claus is drinking coke. Well, do you know that “modern” Santa is
just a commercial gag from Coca Cola? The Mother answered that she doesn’t know
but Santa doesn’t bring gifts anyway. The Christ Child bring the gifts.

I don’t know what I should think about this. Well I’m not religious but is it right to tell
that Jesus bring gifts on Christmas? Or is it even right to tell kids that somebody else
brings the gifts? Why do we lie to our kids and in the next moment we teach the kids
that to lie is bad? On the other side I understand that Christmas is something special.
But I think that Christmas wold be also special without that lies. What do you think
about that? Isn’t crazy?

Well, I want to help you guys a little bit with sweets for this celebration!
So here are my tips:

First of all, I want to talk about Christmas cookies. It’s so easy to make different
cookies with one dough. Last time we backed Christmas cookies, we split dough
in 4 parts. One we leaf like it was. In the second, we add some ground hazelnuts.
In the third some cocoa powder and in the least one some peanut butter. Also you
can melt some Chocolate to decorate and add all you want. For example, nuts, sugar
crumble or food colouring. And I have to say, it’s so delicious! Specially the cookies
with peanut butter. ♥

Another great cookies are coconut macaroon. They are also really delicious and so easy
to make. You will need for about 30 pieces:

200 g coconut rasps
200 g Sugar
4 egg white
80 wafers

Heat sugar, coconut rasps and egg white carefully in a pot. So the sugar melts and mix
with egg white. It shouldn’t be hotter than 50°C. Put wafers on backing tray with baking
paper. Form balls with 2 teaspoons. And put the balls on the wafers. Bake it for about 20
minutes in 150°C, leave to cool down.

I hope u will like it like I do! ☻
