Simple soup for cold days

Winter is coming and it’s getting cold. U know, I really hate this season. The worst thing is
to get up in the morning. After minutes of fight with me, I get up and fall back in bed after I
realise that it’s too cold for me. After some more minutes I finally get up. But I’m still cold.
Do you know this (winter) problem?

Well, today I have a great tip for you! This recipe is very  easy and will warm you up. It’s..
tada…soup! I know, I know it sound boring and maybe not really tasty. But u can make it tasty!
First of all you can add the vegetables you prefer. For example carrots, broccoli, celery and so on.
Still bored? Add some sausage and best of all semolina dumpling. Do you never did semolina
dumpling? Never mind I will give u the recipe. 🙂

And here we go!

2015 10 20 Einfache Suppe 1

You will need:

1/4 L  milk
100 g  semolina
30 g  butter
egg
  salt
  nutmeg

Put milk, salt nutmeg and butter in a pot and bring it to boil.
Add slowly semolina and stir it. Till it gets a lump. Let it cool down.

Knead the dough and add the egg.

Form balls with 2 teaspoons (If you want some bigger semolina
dumps you can also use tablespoons. To make it easier you
can put the spoons in hot water). Cook the semolina dumps in
the soup for about 10 minutes until they float on the surface.

If you want to vary it, you can also add some curry or other spices,
finely chopped cheese or/and finely chopped ham.

Bon appetite.
