The Perfect Autumn Coat // Talking About TFP Shootings

Happy Friday dear ones! 🙂 Today I have to talk about the topic „TFP“ photo-shootings. I get so many messages if I can shoot somebody TFP. Well, actually a TFP photo-shooting is a good thing, because in the best case the photographer and model can support each other. Yes, in the best case. If the „girl from next door“ askes me, if I could take photographes of her for free, I could scream! Do they even know how much time and money each photosession costs? Happy Friday dear ones! 🙂 Today I have to talk about the topic „TFP“ photo-shootings. I get so many messages if I can shoot somebody TFP. Well, actually a TFP photo-shooting is a good thing, because in the best case the photographer and model can support each other. Yes, in the best case. If the „girl from next door“ askes me, if I could take photographes of her for free, I could scream! Do they even know how much time and money each photosession costs? I’ve reached a point who I don’t want to take „just“ a beautiful portrait. I want to create stories, I want to inspire.

I want to create something special. LIke some of you guys have already noticed I’m searching models with experience and security of posing sometimes for important projects. That projects are planned since a long time and costs a lot of time and money. Who applies for such a job should be more than „just beautiful“. I’ve already had a photo-shooting with people who applied for a job like this and at the shooting they were really stiff and unsure so the whole photo-shooting was just a big faux pas. Everytime the same facial expression, fear and a big dose of arrogance are really out of place I think. Some models look at you from high above – a thing I hate! Why? The vibe between the photographer and model have to be good to create great photographs so a high portion of aggorance is just disturbing. I appeal that all the models and photographers (and those who want to become one) should really think about with who they want to shoot TFP. For me it’s very important that the model, that I shoot for free, have a range like I have. A TFP Shooting is a „give and take“ so why should I shoot somebody who have not even a model page? In the past I’ve took photos of everybody who was just beautiful. Today I do this no more! I think much more about who I photograph for free and for whom I spend money.

We photographers have to think about what happens, if we shoot „the woman from next door“ steady for free? Don’t we destroy the whole photography market? I note that the people appreciate the work of a photographer not enough. So many people think that the prices from a average photographer are too high. Today your brother takes the photos of your wedding day, yeah he also have a SLR. You don’t save money at your food or your wedding dress – of couse but a professional photographer is just too expensive. Well, your food and dress are just for one day. The photographs are for ever!!! Why do they don’t look at this aspect? So many people think that 30 euros are just too expensive for a high end retouched photograph. Of course they don’t know that it can take more than one hour to retouch a photo. They prefer the hobby photographer from next door. Absolute over-exposed images don’t need a retouch of the skin, yes. (haha) You can see, I could talk about all these topics for months. Well some of these aspects gets on my nerves very hard. Earlier I’ve reduced my prices in photoshoos very hard, if someone told me that it’s to expensive for her or him. Today I do this no more! I mean, I don’t need the money from potential clients, that’s why I don’t deal about my photography prices like I’m on a bazaar in south of France. All my prices are calculated very clear so if someone tell me that my prices are too expensive I (think fuck yeah) say I don’t care. They just can search after another photographer. You don’t find dumping priece at me as a free artist. You know what? The people who tell me that the prices of my work are too expensive are people who spend a lot of money for their nails or a „amazing“ 4K tv. (hahahaha) Isn’t this ridicoulous? What do you folks think about TFP and the other topics that I’m talking about on this post?

No, let’s talk about my outfit. This coat – alias buffalo curtain, like my father says (:D ?) – is my current favourite coat. I like the color and fabric very much. I’m very about my brown, because it’s a perfect partner for that coat. The dress in white-blue goes perfect with the warm brown color I think. I found it last summer. Or actually, it found me. 🙂 You ask yourself where I’ve got that perfect bag, who looks just amazing with the color of my dress and coat? I’ve got it at my favourite market for sweet 5 euros. Well, how do you like my look? 🙂 XX, CHRISTINA KEY’S BLOG
